Have you been teaching yoga for a few years and feel unsure how to take the leap to build a career? Are you a new teacher overwhelmed with the yoga marketplace? Do you have a ton of ideas about being the most amazing person, but lose momentum? As teachers, your role is that of being of service and often teachers misinterpret that to mean a life of austerity, but that's a myth. Not only can you live a life of service, but you can also pay the bills and become the best version of yourself and that includes making money! Learn how developing a brand can help you get unstuck and build the career you've always wanted. This course will give you the tools you need to develop a brand and refine your voice. You'll learn how to zone in on what it is you can offer and how you can most efficiently present that to the right audience. Different platforms will be discussed such as YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Website, Blogging, Public Speaking, Workshops/Trainings and more! Anyone wanting to build a brand, or grow their own business will benefit. This course can be credited toward Yoga Alliance continuing-ed hours.
Cathy Madeo is the co-owner of Honor Yoga Princeton and co-founder of Honor Yoga Now. Cathy has been practicing yoga for over 20 years. She began teaching yoga in Los Angeles in 2004, before the days of social media. Cathy took a break from teaching to attend graduate school. When she returned to teaching, the landscape was completely different. She decided to jump into the new terrain, the same way she approached her graduate thesis, with curiosity and drive. She sought out a local yoga studio and read every article she could find on growing on Instagram and Youtube. In less than three years, Cathy went from teaching two yoga classes to owning two businesses, Honor Yoga Princeton and Honor Yoga Now and building her own brand, Cathy Madeo Yoga. Cathy is passionate about sharing everything she's learned with you.
