Meet Your Hosts:
Cathy Madeo is an E-RYT 500-Hour RYT, YACEP certified yoga instructor. A practicing yogi since 1995, she began her teaching career in Los Angeles in 2004. With over 15 years experience teaching yoga in LA and the East Coast, Cathy is a sought after teacher's teacher with a passion for educating yoga students and teachers. She is most known -both on Instagram and in person- for making challenging yoga poses accessible to students of all levels and empowering yoga students to grow both on and off the mat. She holds yearly 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Trainings and hosts yoga retreats all over the world. Cathy Madeo is the founder of Activate Your Core, her signature core style that focuses on core drills. You can find her handstanding, or at the beach with her kids in Boca Raton, Florida.
Meredith Asplundh is a former high school and D3 college athlete, who began a career in publishing as a beauty, health and fitness editor/writer for Women’s Magazines, including Vogue, InStyle, and SELF. A busy career and family life, including training and competing in triathlons, is what first attracted Meredith to the movement of yoga. It was the promise to slow down, breathe, take better care of her body – all of the things she was preaching to her readers, but not practicing herself. She earned her 200hr YTT in Vinyasa yoga, a certification in SUP (Stand Up Paddle) yoga, and an extra 60 hours in Rocket Yoga. She is also FRC certified (Functional Range Conditioning). Meredith currently yoga “trains” elite athletes and sports teams for better performance and injury prevention. She offers private instruction, teaching body awareness, and customizes at-home sustainable fitness and wellness programs for her steady clientele. She earned her Holistic Health Coaching certification through the Integrative Institute for Nutrition and furthered her knowledge by becoming a certified vegan chef through the Natural Kitchen Cooking School. Realizing a niche in the fitness apparel industry, she founded the brand Ett Liv Style out of her passion for sustainable fashion and adventurous lifestyle. She hosts live streaming classes and Instagram challenges with a focus on dynamic yoga infused with plyometric movements for whole body strength and conditioning. Meredith resides in Princeton, NJ with her husband, two children, two dogs, two cats, and pot belly.
